AA, DL and SW 2014 CEO pay vs. stock performance

AAL, DAL and SW's CEOs provided some of the best shareholder returns in 2014 when you compare their salary versus the company's stock performance according to WSJ's annual CEO pay survey. It's amazing considering they beat out 300 other large companies and they're all from the same sector, although I'm sure that won't last for long .

Airline stock ROIs are extremely cyclical and have been low for a number of years. I know many of us like to cite profit in terms of dollars but that number is next to worthless.

17.6 million.... Not too shabby for a year's work. I'm sure a lot of the compensation is stock based, so when things go down hill that could seriously hit the net worth. I guess that all depends on how they can sell their stock due to vesting policies, etc.

For a $37 billion dollar company with 80,000 employees I think that's fair.
