AA degree then BA degree

I am currently working on my AA degree in Accounting. After I finish I want to do Utah Valley's Professional Pilot online program and work on my pilot licenses at the same time. I heard you can use your scholarship money to finance your flight training, is this true?

Most scholarships cut the check to you, so yes you can use it for flight training. I know one guy put a downpayment on a Toyota Supra, my roomate used it for his spring break trip.

That is what I am doing now. The loan is sent to the school. They take out what is needed for tuition and other fees. Price is reasonable. The rest is refunded to you the first week of class. You are able to spend the refund at your local flight school. It is not a bad deal. I am only doing it because my work and home life will not let me utilize a traditional university, and as people on here say the degree is needed.

I used to do that for one of my scholarships and last year they said they couldn't do it anymore because of the IRS auditing them. So I just sent it to the school and got a check from my leftover student loans and put it towards flight training.
