A380 mtow

The MGTOW on our 747-100s was 735k pounds and on the -200s it was 785k pounds.

1.2M # is an incredible number. It boggles my mind thinking something that big and heavy can do what it does.

(Shut up, Polar, yeah yeah, Mr. 747 driver... ;) )

I was going to leave that for germb to pick up. :rawk:

Our -200s are 833 at MTOW and the -400s are 875 to 925.

I think the -8 will be about 965.

Oddly enough I think the -8 will have about equal payload. Looks like A380 operators will be paying more for landing fees.

Although I've heard they had to drop the internal kloader to get pallets to the upper deck (thus the disappearance of alot of freighters.) and they decided to add back body gear steering after thrashing alot of tires....

Oh, and it's UGLY. It's so ugly, it'd make a train back up and take a dirt road...

Did you know a Blue Whale can get up to 400,000 pounds? Learned that on planet earth tonight.

Also, Makers Mark is great straight up whiskey.

Interesting... What I got from the manufacturers' docs:

Code:
                747-8 A380-800
OEW 394,088 595,281
Usable Fuel 403,407 545,648
MZFW 642,000 795,861
MTOW 975,000 1,234,588
Max Payload 295,800 200,587

200,000 lbs more structure!? (They must have different definitions of "basic")
