Those are some cool pics! Thanks for sharing!

For some reason, I thought Airbus stopped manufacturing A300s. Did I miss something?

Depends on which "F" model we're talking about. I believe FedEx was the original launch customer back in '94. UPS announced in '98 the intent to buy 90 new A300-600F's and started taking delivery in 2000. Airbus had closed the A300 line but reopened it due to UPS's order.

Air Hong Kong is the launch customer for the A300-600F "General Freighter". Frankly, I really don't see what the difference is between what we have and what Air Hong Kong is getting. Say's it is self loading with a large cargo door on the side to accommodate freight and pallet loading. Sounds like what we have other than the self loading and possibly a few very minor changes.

We received more than 2 brand new A300's in '04 so this source is wrong.

Ah, ok. That was what I was confused about, as I was not aware that the A300 line was reopened for UPS. Thanks for the clarification.

Not picking on you, Mike. Sorry it sounded that way. It was my mistake anyway as I see you just quoted the month of October and not the entire year of '04.
