A vote to change the forum name.

While looking over the forum I ventured into a place I've rarely visited.

"The professional pilots" forum.

I was shocked and appalled that "MR. Dough" would have the audacity to seperate Professional freight aviators from all of the other pilots. Possibly insinuating that we are some kind of lower breed. Unworthy of making meaningful contributions to professional discussions.

I then noticed that the freight dawg forum is also BELOW the Professional pilot forum right next to the LAV! I could see if it was just one transgression but it’s becoming more and more apparent that there is a conspiracy on this site that pits cargo pilots against other pilots.

THIS INJUSTICE WILL NOT STAND!

That is why I'm proposing a vote to change the forum name to:

The professional pilots who don't fly people but sometimes fly weird stuff around and mostly do this flying at night while drinking coffee and eating airport cookies discussion venue.

I would also like to propose that the new forum and the professional pilot’s forum are put on a rotating schedule so that neither is above the other for a longer period than the other. This way they are kept as equal as possible.

These steps and public apology to everyone is the only way to heal my broken heart and stabbed back!

If anyone has any other suggestions for the forum they would most definitely be appreciated.

Excuse me, but did you write something about cookies? I don't know what the rest was about, but if it involves cookies count me in. :nana2:
 
Ooh, interesting observation!

But to be really honest, I don't think we really need a pro-pilots forum anymore. I made that during a time when there were a lot of things going on that were "over the head" of casual observers where people on the pro side of aviation could discuss it without a "Yeah, but Freedom Airlines has a cooler livery!" perspective.

I actually think we should retain this forum but put it above the pro pilot forum, which should really get renamed to the RJ pilot forum, because our pay rates are higher. Because not all airline pilots here fly RJ's, we'll take the turboprop guys in with us 'cause they obviously don't care about them at companies like Skywest.

For the love of all that is decent in this world (which isn't much any more), please stop with the Cargo Cats thing!!:insane: He was trying to get us some respect...I think, but you keep ruining it with your craziness!!

And Texas, I didn't know you flew into fancy places that left the cookies out for you...must be nice. Most places I fly on this run are lucky to have coffee, much less hot coffee, and only when I'm up during the day do they have cookies (you know, for those normal people). :)

Why not use the 'pro pilot' forum as the main forum, and then make the self-loading freight and corporate, 135, and frax forums 'sub-forums' under that forum like what you did with the commuter zone. Also, to appease the freight pilots, you could add another sub forum and title it 'Regionals'. Obviously you would make that #1.

Keep the ability to post in the generic 'pro pilot' forum - it would be a place all of us 'pro' pilots could post generic or lively topic things.
 
I don't know about you guys, but all I ever use is the "New Posts" feature, unless I'm starting a thread and then I have to go search for the appropriate forum.

as for everyone that may take this somewhat serious...i was delerious with lack of sleep this morning. The idea of reformatting ala FI.com is a horrible one at best.

Congrats on the phone interview. Hey, I really think we should be Cargo Cats. That's all I'm saying. It's soooooo much cooler!
 
The Brat Guy?!? Darnit, I'm gonna miss that guy! I think I ate a brat, and 3 terryaki chicken sandwhiches in 3 hours one night...mmmmmmmm.:nana2:
