Brother, they put me in the snow moving tractor at the 'port; I was born for airport snow removal.

It was my first time driving a tractor and yes, it is a hand full....and feet full.

I'm a huge fan of "cross training"-My student couldn't fly a straight line to save his life until I taught him how to mow a straight line. Problem solved-grass cut-big win.

If the tractor also gives you problems, try starting with a riding mower.

On a serious note, I agree. My students who have driven older dozers are good with the foot pedals and don't try to taxi with the yoke.
