:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:, thats all I have to say. The "oh fer ____" isn't even a dialect or slang phrase for this part of the country. "Oh yeah you betchya" and things like that I can understand, but "oh fer ____" is so dumb, words can't describe it.
 
Since I've been here I've heard the following:

Oh fer cute.
Oh fer funny.
Oh fer precious.
Oh fer fantastic.
Oh fer silly.

these phrases are so colossally stupid, i cant even come up with a witty reply when someone says them, i usually just turn and walk away, confused. :argue:
 
If I ever hear someone say "oh fer cute, you betchya want that in a beyg don'tchya know" or something, I'll just explode!
 
Oh, I don't tolerate it. I'm always the first to point out how funny they sound. Maybe it's rude, but it's hilarious.

I bought shoes the other day and the lady asked me if I wanted the receipt with me or in the beyg. I replied: "I want the receipt in the BAG. BAAAAAAAAAAAAG." The reply from her was: "Oooohhh geeez, okaaaay."

That was kinda funny to read. But hey I love the new england accent as well. Youn know that Baaaaastan and New Yoooork (president) JFK accent!

If you have one of those accents they might think that you sound funny!
