/a.net First DL 757-300 w/winglets

I see too many United ones to get excited by this. Would have looked good if they were red and the plane was in the silver NWA livery, juuuuuuust saying.

Dude seriously tag your 757 fantasies with a NSFW tag. :D

Although that is a sexy lady. And I'm a sucker for NWA styling. As well as some UAL grey. And yes I know they look as bad and faded these days (much like Madonna) but just let me go retro for a little bit (perhaps while I listen to some Rhapsody in Blue...).

:D

The 300 flies like a 767. Other than that, it's no different.

I'd just add that it flies like the domestic 76's...climbs nothing like the 757-200s or intl 767s. The ACARS menu in the thing gives me fits! But yeah, other than that not real different.

On pprune the Europeans complain about the handling of the 753 and claim its harder to fly/land than the 752. You guys feel the same outside of its climb performance?

I haven't even noticed any difference between a winglet airplane and a non winglet airplane. Guys say the winglet ones float more, but all my landings seem to be the same. I fly the 75-300 just like I fly the 767. A little more power into the flare, and Bob's yer uncle!

It's really just a fly more people plane. I think they they lowered the MTOW, thus decreasing its range. Had the 753 really taken off, no pun intended. Boeing had planned for what the Delta folks call an ER version to in essences be a replacement for older 762's. Really wish that would have happened.

Also had the 764 also been a success, it also more or less just being a fly more people plane. Boeing was also going to make an ER version of that plane too to replace the 300ER's.

I'm sorry for not being clear, I meant the -300 compared to the -200 in general, not with or without winglets.

I don't really see the difference in the winglet airplanes either. Maybe they slow down a little slower in the case of the 757-200 but that could be mental as much as anything. I still don't think the 757-300 lands like the 767-300 but again I don't fly it all that much so it too could mental.

The 767-400 is already an ER...it's the only 76 model that didn't have a standard and then an ER model. There was a plan for the 767-400ERX with longer range.

I can a.net too! :)
