I can't find it now, but I had a picture from 2009 to 2010 of CLT-ILM, via JAX. Of course we were filed direct "because nobody else was flying so we should be able to get it".
I like when a dispatcher adds notes to release that would prevent me from calling for something that is just a bid odd…ie “filed at Fl220 due to ATC restrictions over Jax center” or something like that. I like a dispatcher that will send an unsolicited acars To update on weather or diversions ahead or things to that effect. I much more likely to send info when I know the Dx is engaged.
When they file your way around a huge area of connective activity with multiple sigmets and tops to FL600, even though it adds 45 minutes to your block
After someone realizes you’re going to be within 15 minutes of 9 hours block for the day and they send you an ACARS telling you it looks like you can cut down the ARs because it really doesn’t look that bad
