Our flying has dropped off quite a bit so far in July. My boss has gotten very busy at work leaving him no time to go anywhere during the week. This is actually a pretty nice change, as I bascially have Monday through Thursday off. I did get to go up to Nantucket last weekend and was very impressed. We were parked about a mile from the FBO out in the grass, but that is just more incentive for my boss to upgrade!
We are putting the Malibu on the market tomorrow and are demoing a few airplanes this weekend. Insurance will not cover me in a twin turbine due to my age and relatively low multi time (250 hours). So we have pretty much decided on the 414. Anyway, here are the photos from this week.
With my extra free time I have been able to get back into instructing. Here I am working on steep turns with a commerical student in my college's old Arrow.
A power off 180 with the same student in the school's old Warrior
My first ride in a Cessna 175 Skylark. It was a pretty neat airplane.
I did make one trip during the week, over to get some MX done to the airplane. Of course there were storms everywhere that afternoon. No problem, I can go around the south side through a 40 mile wide hole. After contacting approach they told me I had to go to the north, the 20 minute flight took fourty minutes after going over to Jersey and south!
Picking around a few more cells on the way home.
VP Radar is pretty neat
Over Dewey Beach
That's all,
Alex.
