I've been planning on buying a pair but they're pretty much out of stock in black. From what they say im almost sure they'd be nicer and more durable than M&H
though in the summer time the M&H might be better possibly?
Their problems are caused by washing them. You aren't supposed to wash wool pants (hence why the tag says dry clean only). Also, don't iron them. Ever seen guys with pants so shiny you can see your reflection? They're ironing wool pants.Over a year now with M&H pants and I still don't understand the hate with them. Everyone complains about the wear but I must have been the fortunate one to get a different stock cause mine held up nicely so far.
But I dry clean mine. Every time. I hear of a lot of guys moaning over M&H pants but then go on to say they wash them in their washing machines. Not sure if thats the reason but I'd bet improper care is the culprit. I would have went to the dockers options too but I'm not talented enough to get those razor sharp creases while ironing.
If you MUST iron wool you need to put a towel over the area you are ironing. All you are really doing is spot steaming the area which lets the wrinkles out.Their problems are caused by washing them. meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.I currently wear the M&H brand pants and some times dockers, I wear the Cut Above shirts and I think they are the best, what do users of their pants say about them? I'm thinking of buying a pair, my current pants are starting to change color...
What is this iron u speak of? Some kind of precious metal?Their problems are caused by washing them. You aren't supposed to wash wool pants (hence why the tag says dry clean only). Also, don't iron them. Ever seen guys with pants so shiny you can see your reflection? They're ironing wool pants.
Thanks again for teaching me how to iron and hang my pants upside down. I strive to look as good as compass pilots now.If you MUST iron wool you need to put a towel over the area you are ironing. All you are really doing is spot steaming the area which lets the wrinkles out.
Ditto. They keep saying "they'll be in stock again ( insert month here). But then they delay it.
We have the pants coming, right now we're looking at having those pants in stock early next week, but we will post them as soon as we have confirmed delivery.
Ditto ;9This thread reminds me, I'm due for some new Carhartts.
Since my weight changes more often than Oprah's, I'm hardly in the same pair of M&H pants for very long. That said, I seem to manage to blow out the crotches of every M&H pair I stick my legs in, no matter what size I am. Perhaps I should get that checked out? LOL.
I've never had a problem with A Cut Above. Also, not that it makes much difference to the OP with a username like "Johnny," but A Cut Above's women's sizes are actually cut to fit the curves of a woman. The "women's" versions of M&H... well.... I don't know who those are cut for! All I ask is for uniform pants that don't give me a gap above my crack, or a FUPA in the front. Bonus that you can wash them at home. As a commuter, I'm often only home for a night then back out on the road again for another 4 - 6 days. If I have to dress like the opposite sex at work, I may as well wear a pair of pants that fit right!
They were not too bad to iron but taking them to the cleaners once in awhile made them much easier to maintain later.I found that a cut above men's tapered shirts would only fit me if I was sporting a perky set of DDs. I got them because they said the tapered ones were great if you want to hide the fact you don't go to the gym much. In the end they fit me like a garbage bag. Other then that I found the quality of the shirts to be great. They had some loose strings right out of the bag, but that's easy to fix.
This time around I got the fitted ones and I like them a lot better. My only problem is even if I snag them right from the drier I have a hard time ironing them particularly well. Anybody have pointers? @amorris311
Related. You and @Seggy could make a pretty kick ass maid service between your combined ironing and vacuuming skills.
