Yeh.. It really makes it pretty easy to understand how some guys are treated the way they are..

If you don't know the contract, don't expect anyone to teach it to you, well maybe they will by the way of osmosis.. If you get bent enough, you'll learn the contract eventually.. I love quoting the contract to someone who is treating me like I have no idea what they can/cannot do to me..

FWIW - I love the 13 hour min day we have here at 9E.. ;)

Is that suppose to mean your min duty time each day is 13 hours?

LMAO 13 min day!

Work for 13 paid for 0!!!! Bonus to you!

What's worse is the unwillingness of certain people to call a rep and understand this contract. Then they come on here and argue when they are told about it. Yet they chose to go to thelowest paying regional with out a contract to begin with. Obviously they are new and haven't been properly beaten by management. Shhhh don't let management know or they will definitely pull the TA.

They went for the upgrade and upgrade only and were willing to suck it up for the upgrade..

That upgrade may be going from 12 months to 3 years and now they wanna moan..

The game sucks.. I'm sitting right seat to a guy with 1,500TT less than me, flew with a prior student a few weeks ago, I'm a senior FO to captains from my previous company who are now at 9E..

Neat stuff, this airline biz..

We need one 121 seniority list! LOL

3 years is what it has been since 08. My guess will be 5 years after SLI!

Well then.. A small token of advice from a guy who has worked at an airline with no contract then moved to an airline with a crappy contract - life is better with a contract.. ;)

Now the question is, do you go to an airline with a TA. I have an interview with Colgan on the 6th. I don't know enough about the TA to determine if it is really a industry leading contract. Might just be better to wait for Air Wisc or something like that to call.

Depends.. What is attractive to you about Colgan?

I'd say you don't have a choice unless they offer you a job. You could always go to the interview and give them a "Thanks, but no thanks" if the terms aren't acceptable to you. If they give you a "thanks, but no thanks", you had an interview experience that you can put to later use.

The major details (aka Executive Summary) of the TA are out there and available to read. So are the current contracts for 9E, XJ, and Air Wisc. Take them and read over them and determine for yourself where you might best fit. If that doesn't work out... I'm quite sure that plenty of pilots here would be more than willing to discuss aspects of each contract that you might be worried about.

CJC will cease to exist in a few months and will be Pinnacle. At the combined company you will have a very large range of equipment types, missions and bases to choose from. I would say all in all, there is a bit more flexibility at the Pinnacle than AWAC or almost any other regional save perhaps Skywest.

Waiting for the road shows is a good idea, but there could be some benefits to a thread like this one if one wants to make the effort. For me, this thread has me wanting to read the actual language, discuss issues I don't fully understand with my reps, and most of all... it is giving me a growing list of questions to potentially ask at a road show.

It's also good to bounce ideas off of each other BEFORE the road shows. Nothing like having a conversation later on and saying "DAMN! I wished I'd thought of that before so I could ask at the road show." Looks like it's gonna be a little longer since per the latest communique from the MEC chair, the meeting is gonna be the week of the 17th instead of the 10th. Either way, I say the MEM contingent (and anyone that wants to join up) swap Jan schedules, and we set aside a time we can meet in late Jan to tear into this thing.....along with pizza and beer.

I'm game.
