747 Advanced?

Re: 747 Adavanced?

Hey doug, when i was working on the 88 and the 737 @ LGA, i ended up with bruise on my shins, and knees. You need some protection while climbing in! Completely different than the 747 classics (my favorite bird!)

Re: 747 Adavanced?

I got a chance to fly the GIV sim @ Savannah and it wasn't too bad once you got in the seat (6' and 200lbs) but it REALLY takes some contortions to get in the seat!!! There are grab handles all over the "cowling", ceiling, seat, etc... to assist you, but it is quite a feat to get in there

The kind folks at Northwest let us sit in the pilots seat of a Airbus 320, that thing moves in every which way to let you get in and out. It goes up, down, in, out, sideways, spins, etc...

Re: 747 Adavanced?

yeah Doug I was surprised at how cramped the 737-700 was. Those 5 hr trips from RDU to SJC were murder. I couldn't move the seat back because of the CB panel!
