Bots pilots were rescued.
Well there’s the problem. If they used human pilots instead of bots they’d have made it.

I think the most remarkable thing was they did this AT NIGHT. I would guess that they had some SERIOUS concerns about that engine because if I was in that situation, I would be thinking my chances of surviving are pretty slim.
One crew member is still in critical condition. Other guy is ok. I'm pretty sure there is only a single JetA source at hnl and it's ops normal out here this morning.
I would think those old stovepipe JT8Ds would run on whatever crap fuel you had, including old cooking grease.
If it’s bad fuel, it’s really bad fuel.
Yip. Will probably figure out that the crew did not maintain their DMMS and were violating an AQP item since and there was some issue with a defective pilot personality, as well as ATC not doing their jobs well. And yes the NTSB are dirtbags and know nothing about airplanes and flying...Did anyone check with Dan Gryder yet? I’m sure he has it figured out by now.
It's not the baby sharks you need to worry about.I have seen LOTS of baby sharks in that area... And ditching at night is the stuff of nightmares....
I think you need to worry about baby sharks. Yes you doo doo doo...
You know the real story about why the Captain is always the last one off the aircraft/ship?I think you need to worry about baby sharks. Yes you doo doo doo...
I agree! I was always told when you encounter the baby sharks... The bigger ones are close by *CRINGE*I think you need to worry about baby sharks. Yes you doo doo doo...
This is much worse than I thought:
One of the two pilots was found clinging to the tail of the wrecked aircraft while the other was rescued clutching a floating package amid the debris scattered across the waves.
They were very fortunate that USCG Barbers Point was able to get a helo and fixed wing in the air as fast as they did, as well as the two 48 footers. I think Honolulu Fire launched their helo and a boat as well.
Listening to the ATC recording, sounds like both they and ATC handled it very well.

Hoping for the best for the pilot in critical condition tonight. They were very fortunate that USCG Barbers Point was able to get a helo and fixed wing in the air as fast as they did, as well as the two 48 footers. I think Honolulu Fire launched their helo and a boat as well.
I wish I was there do deliver. But life is so much better without it!I miss this sh-t on the FB's!
