657TT, CFII & MEI / Commercial Pilot Looking for work near ABQ.

Boots2Wings

Just happy to be here.
Hey there fellow JC'ers.
Reaching out to see if anyone would have some leads for me in the ABQ New Mexico Area.
I am returning from a military deployment and planning to relocate to NM within the next two weeks and
wanted to get a head start on places to drop an application, as well as get an idea for the job landscape.
I will of course have a fresh 1st class medical, Flight Review, IPC and FIRC before starting (not that they are necessarily all expiring, but after not flying for a while I want to make sure the rust is for the most part knocked off).

Id be happy doing any flying job that would pay at least $2000 post/tax and equates out to around 40 hours a month in flight time. Of course these would be my minimum requirements: so more money/flight time is a plus.

Flight Experience:
TT: 659.6
PIC: 577.6
ASEL: 615.8
AMEL: 41.1
Dual GIven: 395.7
INST: 93.8
XC: 176.3
Night: 46.8

Cessna 172 - M,N,R,S
Cirrus SR22
Piper Seminole

Ratings & Endorsements:
Commercial IRA, ASEL, AMEL
CFI, CFII, MEI
High Performance
Complex

Misc:
BS Criminal Justice from San Diego State University
10 Years Military Experience, Communications Specialty with Security+ 401 Certification, 2 Deployments.
EMT-Basic
Volunteered with San Diego Police Department & Angel Flight West

Appreciate the time, consideration, and any help you can help you can offer.

Respecfully,
Zak

Try Bode out at Double Eagle, I know they are often looking for instructors. AMF is a solid timebuilder after reaching their minimums.

My memories of sitting for a few days at the ABQ FBO were acres of Ameriflight airplanes and shooting the bull with a ton of air ambulance pilots. The companies they belonged to escape me.

Thanks, they were on my list of places to check out :) good to hear its a legitimate place.

Shameless bump w/update.

Currently got part time work as a CFI on the AF Base. Looking for something to do full time aswell.

Dropping off resumes with Ameriflight, CSI Aviation, Bode, and Del Sol this week.

Current FR, IPC, 1st class medical and radio license.
Times are roughly the same (+ roughly 5 hours i flew for club/cfi checkout and ipc)

Thanks!
Zak

Have you looked into Aspen Helicopters? They're based in California, but are often looking for pilots that will commute for survey work and they are veteran owned. There's also Fugro for survey which I also believe is commutable and has dropped their minimums.

They say 1000 hours, but I know there mins are much closer to 500 hours.
http://www.aspenhelo.com/employment/

Fugro lowered their mins to 500TT and when I contracted for them I believe they were looking for a 20/10 rotation.

It's no problem. Both companies were quite good to me when I worked for them, but that was a few years ago. Aspen is getting back their old CP who's an absolutely awesome guy, but I haven't really stayed in touch with what's been happening at Fugro so I'm not sure what's changed aside from their minimums dropping and supposedly their pay increasing.

There's also Skydive New Mexico. I'm not sure if they're looking for pilots at all, but they fly out of Belen and I believe there might also be glider towing down there as well. You can also check http://www.dropzone.com/classifieds/Employment/ as I know sometimes they need pilots to fill in now and then and I saw an opening to fill in for two months in Texas. The doors will continue to open as you build time.

There's also http://americanpatrols.com/employment.html which might be a long shot as pipeline patrol companies usually stick to their minimums pretty firmly.

http://www.csiaviation.com/about/careers/ They're currently looking for FOs and you exceed the minimums and they're based out of ABQ. I'm not sure what the schedule or amount of flying is like, but it might be a good opportunity.

Also you might want to look into Aperture Aviation. http://www.apertureaviation.com/careers/line-pilot I know some pilots from their sister company that left after that company lost it's contract and they were awesome guys that had a lot of fun with the job as it's more of a travel job than a flying job and you work an 8/6. I think the pilots only average around 200 hours a year, but if you instruct on the side you could do alright.

There's Dynamic too and they have some SIC openings now and then. dynamicaviation.com https://usr53.dayforcehcm.com/Candi...n/Site/DYNAMICAVIATIONCAREERS/Posting/View/64
