5 ways flight schools cheat students

My issue is the part on being ready to solo. To me it came off as if once a student has x hours then they must be signed off. When in reality there are other variables at play. This would be things like how recently have they flown, are there any issues with their landings and so on.

There is only one thing I'd tell anyone looking to learn to fly, Don't believe 90% of what people will tell you it's going to cost, and save up at least twice what they told you it'll cost and don't finance a cent. I tried the fly when I could afford it route initially and wasn't successful. When I had the money saved and could fly multiple times per week it was much more efficient.

I dont understand some of the hateful, negative posts here. Flight schools really do rip people off in these ways. Kudos to this guy for making a video that exposes some of these fraudulent schools.

There are scams in every industry. Plumbers, mechanics, salesmen...

We all can chime in about our personal experiences and how they were great or the worst ever seen in the industry, but that's not going to accomplish anything. However this guy's video gives the impression that you're one step away from financial failure or death by flight training. I'm just guessing he recently earned his private pilot certificate and it wasn't as easy as puppies and butterflies - it took work, as a result he felt he needed to warn others. In a high quality video production method of leaving a bad review on yelp.

Please tell me why you have a problem with shedding light on the scams so that someone else won't fall victim to the scams?

Interesting. That was not my take away from this at all. I kind of wonder if we watched the same video. The one I saw was very general, and I can't fault a single thing he brought up.
