Hard to believe that this was forty years ago yesterday. I remember it very well:

We watched a documentary about this in the CRM portion of ground school. It was an eye opening experience. The more I learn about aviation and this horrible accident the worse it gets.

You know, part me of always wondered after seeing Bragg's interviews... yeah you got blocked, but when you know there's no response from the other airplane, why not just make another radio call? You can usually tell when you get stepped on/blocked on the radio. Yes, many factors went into this accident. MANY. But there were still chances even in the last 60 seconds where the cheese could have slightly moved and prevented all the holes from lining up for the accident.
