300/350/1900 Type Rating

This reminds me of when I was hired at Mesa on the 1900. At that point the FAA would let you get a 350 type at the same time on the 1900 checkride, but Mesa wouldn't allow us to do it because they were afraid everyone would flee after getting it. Then of course, Mesa got rid of all the 1900s while I was in IOE.

It's even worse than that. The SIC ratings cost the same as the PIC.

I feel like the "SIC PRIVILEGES ONLY" for a turboprop type rating is the red badge of courage for those that fought in the trenches of the early oughts lol

I mean, they did that too. I have a 1900 and DHC-8 type SIC only, lol. Plus circling in VMC only limitation, too. They were afraid we would run with even a SIC only 350 type.
