Well, today I had my second lesson today. We flew out of Lost Nations airport in Willoughby, OH. I know most of you won't really care, but I landed the 182 today! My first landing ever, but it was a little bumpy. I kinda felt the need to tell all you JC members about my acomplishment

No, my CFI who is a retired United Pilot (now CFI) likes this particular airplane, and wanted to show me the power of it. Usually its a 172 or 152.

Congrats! Don't worry about the bumpy landings, they are tricky at first, but I swear, one day it will just click and you will be nailing them! Keep enjoying those lessons!

Nice job bro. Landings were really the hardest thing for me but one day it just clicked. In fact I'm still in disbelief that I greased about 3 15-17ish knot xwinds a few weeks ago. Just be careful out at Lost Nation, there are alot of pilots there who don't care to mention when they are entering downwinds, etc.

Are you still at Airsports (Because I don't think they were at LNN)? Who is your instructor now?

The CFI at LNN goes to my church and is a retired united pilot. He wanted to take me up b/c he found out I wanted to be a pilot. I said sure, and brought my logbook along to see if we could fill anything in. So he kinda gave me a lesson/sight seeing flight. For the most part I'm at Airsports, Cessna2351

Glad to hear there's a retired airline pilot who's not bitter about his career and discouraging you from becomming a pilot. I hear too many stories like that. He must have got out while they were still doing pensions.

Yeah..I was talking to a guy I know the other day who is an MD-88/90 captain and been with Delta 26 years. He said he wouldn't encourage anyone to go for an airline career right now. Oh yeah...he's also a lawyer..

Thats now, what about in ten years? Ten years is when a few of us younger guys like Bigey and maybe DeJesus should have enough experince. Hopefully it will all squared away by then. We shall see.
