2022 Christmas meltdown Competition enteries

I can’t drop my trip Wednesday. I already tried. Hoping it canx or at least it isn’t too much drama to safely be at work early Wednesday am.

Fair point. I will say in personal good news, I actually read the reserve lines this time, and put the ones with weekends off at the top for January. Got one with all off other than one Saturday, which I was able to multi trade to the following Monday, today. This includes a 5 day non-duty period that has a weekend in the middle (spoiler alert: the wife and I are gonna take a solo trip to San Diego and leave the kids with the grandparents). I guess being in the bottom 30 isn't always the worst? Oh wait, I haven't been assigned my trips yet, never mind :)

Almost every departure we had out of MSP on Saturday was delayed 1-2 hours. I'm sure next weekend will be full of joy, too.

Yeah I have to fly back right in the heart of the irop. Can’t wait.

Yep, and stressing about my 5:55am show tomorrow. Normally it would be so easy but tomorrow is going to be a nightmare.

Gross. Is it snowing at Seatac now? We got about 6" up here overnight/this am. Just finished shoveling my driveway. I think trying to get over the hill of Everett would be the limiting factor for me in the AM.

I think I am gonna have to commute down to Vegas a day early because of the ice storm.

It’s looking more and more like I’m going to have to bail on Christmas with the kiddo to get into position unfortunately. We’ll have to do a Boxing Day/Christmas combo celebration [emoji1787]

We are having the opposite here. I’ve never seen a slower holiday season other than 2020. Usually from thanksgiving til New Years we are non-stopped slammed but it has been absolutely dead. Like, slow even for the slow season. Even TEB too.

Why would that be? Are more people picking up extra shifts or are there less than expected flights? I've always assumed you guys have enough people to cover your shifts, maybe more people would rather work for some extra money rather than stay home? I know you've complained about staffing in the past, I'm just wondering why no one wants to take a day off? Do you know something we don't know?
