2022 Christmas meltdown Competition enteries

Years ago, I had a 3 day trip where the last day went from MSO-SEA, YLW turn to end. Well, YLW wasn’t going to happen due to weather…so we land in SEA fully expecting to go home.

CS decides to try to assign a repo to EUG and DH back. I’ve seen this episode before…we’d get to EUG, get delayed for 2-7hrs thanks to SEA flow/I’d be stuck somewhere not “home”

I said “fatigue” and walked my happy ass straight out the airport…there’s very few things as fatigue inducing as SEA in the snow ;)

It's amazing how many 121 fatigue calls happen on the last of a trip and result with a pilot going home instead of straight to a hotel for rest.

I've called in fatigued twice at the current shop. Both involved a double-crewed ~13 hour flight, followed by a "quick reposition" to a non-Chinese Asian gateway. And in both cases, the gateway took >4 hours to load the airplane when it was scheduled at ~1:30. No one sleeps (or "rests") when sitting on the ramp in China wearing an N95 and hoping they don't get sent to the Gulags for making a Pooh Bear joke. You bucking for management?

Oh Alaskan already had an ess show in, you guessed it, Seattle two weeks ago. Because they can't handle the annual winter weather.

Don't know if you flew in the snow days, but when I was there, taxiing out on time, deiced on the north A pad, then taxiied down south for a 34L departure. Went like clock work. Pre-cancelling flights here was the right answer. Otherwise the entire system would get backed up. SEA just doesn't have the space for mass scale de-icing.

Damn, that airplane was a beauty in classic Delta colors. Only the 1011 looked better.

I saw a woman assault a man over a pump at the gas station earlier, it didn't end well for her. They had a wreath and a happy holidays banner inside the mini mart. Does that count?
