1st Class Medical for Interview?

I know you have to have a 1st Class Medical to start the program, but do you have to have it to go through the initial interview? I received some literature indicating that a 1st Class was needed for the interview. Has everyone who has gone through the interview had the 1st class at that time, or have you gotten it before your class date? Thanks.

Required for the interview or not, if you are paying 32+K for the program to hopefully get you a future airline job (which will require a 1st class med) , I would be sure I could pass a 1st class prior to paying the $100 bucks for the interview, otherwise you may be wasting your time and money for the interview. Just a thought.

You don't need it for the interview, but you do need it before starting the program.
Might as well get it right away.
