Key Largo baby!! It's off of East Flamingo and it has 50 cent taps and $1 domestic. Cheapest booze I could find and low minimum tables all day. I had a blast there one night, even though it is a probably the worst casino I have ever been to.

[joking about being the JC casino of choice]

I'm thinking of one of those "bring your social attitude and a stack of business cards and meet some folks"-style thing.

It's ALL about networking.

Better not!

Nothing would piss me off worse than someone balking at that.

"Better not" as in someone "better not" scoff at you if you hand them a card with your current credentials on it.

Hell, I don't care if you're a student pilot with 4 hours, come, network and meet people because it's the only way you're going to make it.

Everyone needs help and encouragement...and a little brush with reality on occasion.

I'll be there. I thought I read it right, but I know how it's been the last few days around here and I just wanted to make sure. Did you flights go better today? Oops, you may even be home. I should have asked that first.

Today I'm home!

It's been a good day. My wife took the day off, I had breakfast with her and read the paper, watched an entertaining movie (50 First Dates), picked up my tax returns, had some super hot wings down at a bar/grill that a flight attendant that I met owns, had a nice brewsky down the street and had an opportunity to talk with Kristie and tell her how much she means to me.

It's been a good day!

But, on par with the thread, I think everyone from the starry-eyed 0 hour student up to the 10,000 hour pilot needs networking contacts. When I'm not screaming "Get your degree!", I'm screaming "Network network network!!!" and it's NEVER TOO EARLY.

Seize the opportunity.

I sent you an email Kristie about attending for a day and I might be able to help out if interested, just let me know!
