Isn't the crooked tie, coupled with uneven knot the stand airline look? One stripe means 'Not shaving yet.' Dude also needs remedial necktie tightening. But his shoes look more polished than his dad's.

Yeah, but he's actually going to be able to retire when he's 65. I'll still be punching buttons in a sim when I'm 80, and probably die there.

What is 1 stripe? FA in training?
That guy is 19?!
He hasn't aged well...
Not even close. I'm 23 years older than you and probably the only lifer at our shop.My goal? Numero uno on the list!!!!
Yeah man, it ain't the years - it's the mileage, and flying for a living is all city miles.
Ok, but not at 19!![]()
I'm tryin but they ain't buyin.I'd suggest against trying to stay at any regional long term under the Delta umbrella. Delta is ruthless when it comes to regional flying; they learned their lesson with the Comair strike.

You want to be a 19 year old semi-ginger with "early-onset diabetes" tattooed on his forehead and a pedobear-vibing father who pretty obviously drove his son in to following the career path he wishes he'd had (getting a low seniority number at what might be the lowest paying and worst airline in the western world)?
I am 28 and flying a lowly turboprop. So you're doing okI was 21 when I started at the regionals. I'm 27 now, the old man at the regionals.
WELL, when I was 28 I was grinding corrosion and pounding rivets working rotating days off during the graveyard shift on a UAL DC-10 overhaul line in Oakland, CA. UPHILL, BOTH WAYS! IN THE SNOW! Now get off my lawn.I am 28 and flying a lowly turboprop. So you're doing ok
I didn't get a 121 job until I was 34 and I .... Er.... Where was I going with this?I was beginning to wonder what I was doing wrong. A 27 year old CFI giving dual in a plane that has a 40kt GS on final, under the mind numbing UV radiation of the Florida summer, who still has to clean FBO toliets to make ends meet at the end of the month.. Until I read this gem! Thank you Boris, at least I won't have the resentment of every pilot who happens to sit next to me for my entire career. That is, if I ever get to fly a plane that requires two pilots...![]()
The latter bit there is the critical part.Just my $.02...
Many years ago, I regularly had 300 hour F/O's in the 737. Some were pretty good sticks, and others were not. A few should have even driven a car.
However, what they all lacked was the ability to reason, or think very far ahead.
Fortunately, the weather was almost always good, airports with very long runways, not too much traffic, and experienced captains.
This lad will probably be OK since he probably has a bit of "worldly" knowledge, and will hopefully fly with experienced captains.

OBD

A lot of people guess my age as 25 these days. For me 33 was the new 13, if you hated your teenage years once I definitely don't recommend you go through it twice.I always pictured you to be in you early to middle twenties. Interesting the pictures of others, that we form in our minds. From script on a page.
