1600TT ASEL, Comm/Instrument and live near PNS. I'm tied to the area so relocation would be more than difficult but I am willing to commute. I am working on my multi eng at this time but don't have it yet. I'm also 70 short of night time for 135 mins. I'm a former AFSOC flight engineer with just shy of 5500hrs in a C-130. I'm towing banners in Navarre right now but the season is ending. If you've got a lead, I'd love to hear from you!

I didn't think they would look at me until I had 135 mins. If that is not the case, they will have my resume tomorrow!

I'm not sure if this would be what you're looking for or if your c-130 time would count, but they're based in Crestview, FL. http://jsfirm.com/Job/Pilot-Fixed+Wing/First+Officer/Pilot/Crestview-Florida/jobID_306573

Are you open to the idea of commuting? I know there are companies out there that do rotations and if you didn't mind something like an 8 and 6 or 16 and 12 that might be one way to go.

I know Critical Care Medflight was looking for Lear FOs for an 8 and 6 somewhere in Florida as of last month according to climbto350.com. I can't find the opening on their website, but there's a lot out there.

Do you have your CFI? There's a school in Foley, AL that does a lot of the initial training for Navy pilots and I believe they always paid well.

I think there was something near the panhandle looking for instructors to do some of the initial training for military pilots in the new Grob G-120TP which is something that actually makes me want to drop everything I'm doing and go fly that thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grob_G_120TP

Heck no I don't mind commuting! Bring it but if it is any longer than 30 on 30 off the cash better be substantial!

I think I would have a better shot at applying to Tepper as an FE. I know folks that have been there and I don't think it would be a good fit. I've got 18 years with AFSOC, you are going to have to take my word on this! :)

You might also check out dropzones. http://www.xtremeskydivers.com/Home.html I believe they have a caravan as I see a picture of it, but another site's saying they have a 182. They might be looking for a pilot at least part-time, but there might be other options nearby as well.

I talked with the folks at the DZ north of Defuniak last year and could have been flying their PAC750 last winter but I took a job with a Picto vendor instead. Mobile is just a littler farther than Defuniak but it is an option I will look into.

CFI is the job I want 5-7 years from now, up at Milton (2R4) on my schedule, in my plane.

You not interested in regionals? I see you are working on multi but unless that's a multi year project (haha) you could find a regional with a reasonable commute from PNS.

I'm not ruling 121 out but I don't like the idea of pulling reserve duty. That might be a little short sighted.

I think Trans States is having pilots get their training and not sit reserve. When they have a line for you they'll call you and you can commute.
