He crashed already? This is with an instructor? I'm sorry but this is the dumbest "record attempt" ever.

I guess it could have been, but wasn't.

I had no self induced news making time pressure get-there-itus when I was doing my 50nm solo x-countries. In fact I got weathered out 9 times, sometimes because there was BR in the TAF. Yea I was pansy, but in the end it all worked out.
