135 VFR freight ops

There's a company at MKC called "Safewing Aviation Company", callsign "Swiftwing". They do quite a bit of VFR 135 work.

If you like getting paid by flight time instead of duty hours . . .

yep, depending on need, etc.

flight express hired VFR only guys last year for a short time period when the regionals (read: XJT) were hiring like gangbusters.

you just gotta catch the timing right.

there's a place in AZ that does VFR freight ops in a lance I think. do a search in the "jobs available" section for my username and look thru my multiple job postings there. it's in one of those.

Sun Care Air, dba Sun Western Flyers out of Yuma AZ. They have an OLD Ameriflight Lance at Skyharbor they were needing someone to hammer on daily runs. I spoke to them and looked at the airplane. Decided to stick with my CFI gig a bit longer than fly that thing.
