I know pretty much anything from commercial ride is fair game...Just wondering about anyone's personal experiences.

Thanks in advance!

I wish I could remember. My only VFR 135 ride was long ago at an air cargo company at Chandler when I got checked in the 207 and PA-32. The rest were IFR ones.

Anything is really fair game. From mine in the 207 and 208, stalls to first indication, steep turns, a variety of emergency procedures, short field, flapless landings, I believe slow flight, and a couple approaches (even though it was a VFR checkride).

Oral was basically systems (more so than anything else), weather, 135 regs...the usual stuff you could expect.

Good luck. Who for if you don't mind me asking?

My VFR 135 checkrides were really easy. Maybe it was just me though ;)

normal takeoff, climb, steep turn, slow flight, VOR approach with Circle to land with a power off 180 to the runway. That was it.

I did one about a month ago. Expect spot, soft, short and crosswind landings. If you do it on a windy day in Alaska like I did then all at the same time, lol. He took me to a 1600 foot dirt strip with a 15 knot crosswind. A no flap landing is also required.

Steep turns 720º followed by stall to the first indication, engine failure procedures. Slow flight, ¿Slow flight steep turns¿ Timed turns, a few approaches. You don't have to be perfect on the instrument stuff, just good enough that if it hits the fan you can make it out alive.

Don't forget the go around. There was no power off 180 spot landing on mine but there was a power off 180 to anywhere on the runway. Everything commercial is fair game. I am sure I am missing several things, just read your comm pts.

Mine was pretty easy, just another commercial checkride. The oral was a joke, just get to know your GOM if it is your first time with one.

Anything that they aren't overly happy with will be fixed in IOE.
