135 to 91 rest

Anyone have any personal or company policy about how much rest a crew should get between coming off a charter and going to a 91 trip? Obviously there isn't a legal requirement, just curious as to what other shops do or individuals personal "mins" are.

We can ferry part 91 back to base over 8 and 14, but rest for part 135 doesn't start until after the plane is put away.

I'm talking about you finish a charter and have a 91 trip scheduled the next day. Is it unreasonable to expect 10 hours after the charter before the 91 trip?

Yep always 10 in 24 for us regardless of the "part" if falls under. Most of ours are 12hrs or more.

We abide by the 135 rules regardless if the flight the next day is 91. There are always rare exceptions, owner emergency or something like that. However in 5 years it hasn't been an issue once. We even go as far to limit part 91 duty days which the owners are aware of. Makes everything simply. We fly within the limits set and if we can't make it home we stop. Pretty simple.

This should not even be a question, does owner want a fatigued crew crashing the jet with him on it or his kids on it? I'm lucky, we get 12 off, pure 91. If I go over 14 hours of duty, we get 14.

Considering it's single pilot, I don't think any of that crosses his mind. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the standard and policy should be the same though. I never can tell if I'm just being the cautious one in this corporate world.

I don't think that would be too much to ask for. At my operation, we are given 12 hours of rest regardless if it was 91 or 135. Fatigue can be killer.
