135 Flying to the Majors

I know a guy who got offered a class at United and he's been flying 135 pax ops for the past 5 years... 27 years old, CA for 3 years... 6,000tt 4,000 hours jet, 2000tpic. He did have some strong internal recs though. Talk about winning at life.
 
We just lost a captain to a major...all 135 time. Two type ratings, check airman. I'm certain there will be others within the next year.
