105 Aircraft Damaged at DFW - 400 Flights Canceled

Unbelievable the amount of scary weather we have had in the past couple of years.
not really...nothing more then usual (with the small exception of tornados) but everything else is average or below average.

as for North Texas...weather has been "boring" last summer was the heat...78 days without rain and not a cloud in the sky for almost 4 months

Im talking all over. in the last three years there has been two tornadoes back home in MI. before that it was like sixty years since we had one that did lots of damage.

well since you did the research look down to Lenawee county last F4 was in 1964. so sorry i was off by 12 years. in the Last three years there have been two storms within 50 miles that did significant damage (Dundee and Dexter MI).

I was just razzing ya, no worries.

oh i know i should of been more detailed. the palm sunday tornado is the one that we all hear about back home. it was way before my time but we hear about it from parents, grandparents, and school.

Funny thing about the internet, you should probably research things before you make claims out of the blue. ;-}

And... Read your own research before posting it on the interwebs... ;-)

Essentially, he's right (though we might be able to blame him with some slight exaggeration). Reading through the info on your link, the most recent tornado of any size was back in the mid 70's There were a couple of F3's in the early 90's, and it looks like nothing reported since the mid 90's. MI really doesn't see any tornadoes of real size. All those F0's and F1's don't really do anything. Maybe blow some shingles and siding off... But those F5's in the mid 50's... Holy Mother!

Come on, I found an F4 in '77! That wasn't 60yrs ago. It looks to me like the data was cut off in the 90's as nothing was reported past about 95 or so. I know they don't hit as strong up there, which is a good ting.

How is AA doing today? Lots of cnx still because of downed aircraft or are they getting back on their feet?
