Yes- I left already---> Ryan W. hit my wife's Highlander so I was like, "Screw this place, I'm outta here!" Ha! (99.97% of it buffed out btw) Anyway, I found a place to work in Pensacola FL that fit my goals better. And so far, I'm having a blast!
Total money spent for the 10 week CFI course at FSA... $10,697 bucks. I did all the ground school, and flew exactly 25 hours. That number includes money spent on books, uniforms, etc. (class related stuff) It does NOT include housing, food, car insurance, etc. (personal stuff)
(crusty old fart voice) Back in '95 I spent around $4000 on my CFI there. Zero -> hero cost me around around $28k. Not one airplane had a GPS and I had to do an NDB hold and full approach for my IR.
Times is changing I guess.

Wow, I did my MEI, CFII and CFI at ATP, total cost including hotel, 16.5 hours multi, 6.3 hours single, one week ground school, unlimited Frasca use and gas to drive to Atlanta and back to Michigan cost me $7500 and took 20 days. Ha ... now I fly a Seminole for Flight Safety.
Thank god there are pilots that still go to overpriced flight schools unless you would be out of a job....
