Oh Delta XXVI - Delta pilot calls controller an idiot

And here is the phone call after. I can’t believe this can be accessed by the general public. Why would anyone call the tower now ?

Sheesh, I'd hate to have my post-flight fireside chate out on some youtubes! To be honest, I've done the LGA shuffle many summers and you have to enter that zone with a "paid by the minute" attitude. It's always going to be "randome fixes closed, we don't care if you can fly around the cell over that fix." Grab a snickers!

Man, I wish I could access the recording when an approach controller out west froze up, almost ran us into a massive cell and got upset when we deviated around it. He didn’t know that the FO I had on conference call was a former controller for that sector and it got “interesting”. Man, I love that guy. I should call him today.

Atlanta approach got snippy with me yesterday when the frequency went dead silent for 4 minutes, which never happens.

"One three three point four seven, SouthernJets 2134, HAVE. A. NICE. DAY. SIR."

I had an enroute controller call, somehow, my arrival gate upon landing after a pretty nasty near miss years ago.

I was pissed, yes, but already over it by then. He was super apologetic, and I just wanted to get to the hotel.

Piper Navajo, single occupant, green and white striped shirt — looked like a rugby jersey, Oakleys…

As a New Yorker, cursing and calling out each other is our love language.

I wish people everywhere could just get on board with this. Nothing personal. I don't hate you guy, you're just an idiot. So stop being an idiot.

I'll actually go a step further and say that New Yorkers are some of the nicest people anywhere, once you don't get offended by the initial facade

No, it’s the phone call to the tower! That’s what I can’t believe. Really isn’t a good idea to call anymore as you maybe unknowingly incriminating yourself. At least that’s what I gather from this clip.

My apologies. I missed that it was the followup for that Delta idiot comment video.

“POSHEBULLPILOTDEVIATION! Say when ready to copy number”

“Ehh… Nah. What’s the best that can happen?”

Every time I hear about one of these stories I think about bidding the whale. Too bad I can’t stomach being gone 13 days in a row. Seems like you never hear stuff like this happening internationally.

Then again I hear our people complain about dealing with deviations and being vectored into mountains in some parts of the world. I guess everywhere has its perks!

I mean it's a recorded line and now they have your name and phone number. I'd call my union first for some sort of guidance before I would even remotely consider calling.
