Hahahaha, let me clarify a lil. If i were to turn down the Oct 9th date, the date given to me would be in the springtime, as somehow, thats the next date available. Hopefully if Mccain (or Obama) gets elected, that wouldnt mean an end to atc classes, cuz I think several people here would go crazy!

On a side note, has anyone else heard that they are going to issue gov't credit cards to people in atc new hire academy classes starting on or after Oct 1st? Apparently, you can put no more than $49.80 on it per day and it has to go towards housing ONLY. (so much for trying to go for the cheapest apartment to save money now :()
 
FINALLY...JUST GOT THE CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!


DEC 9th is my start date, the FOL is on its way via e-mail & fedex!!!!
 
Got my phone call today at 10 in the morning and got asked if i got woken up? LOL I laughed because i told her yes, but it was for a good reason.
Class date Dec 18th. Finally only 7 months after my application lol:yup:
 
I just got a call from my schizophrenic imaginary friend Bob who says "um, ya know...... since California is next to the Pacific, and the Pacific is next to Russia, you're qualified to control aircraft....um....uh....the airspace near Russia...as Putin rears his head, um..." :sarcasm:

oh yea, and I also have a witch-hunter preacher at my church who will be praying that it's God's will that I receive a FOL :sarcasm:

Congrads!! Did your FOL arrive via email or postal service? Just wondering b/c I submitted a change of address, but never heard back on whether they received it. So, I am hoping that my final offer letter is not being returned to OKC if it was mailed to my previous address.

Well CS called me, gave me the date, and confirmed my address, so she should do the same with you. She said my e-mail was being sent by Cherida...and Cherida is at panels this week (I'm assuming for 5/2 enroute) and won't be in the office until Monday. So, I should expect the e-mail Monday and the packet 2-3 weeks before class starts. The waiting continues....hahahaha, I sure have learned patience during this whole process...at least it is finally paying off. It seems that most people getting Dec. 9th are East/N. East locations, so hopefully you'll get your soon!!! Hang in there!!!

Also, try calling or e-mailing CS to see if she has your correct address. She seems to answer her phone around 2-3 pm CT. She DOES answer e-mails but it takes like a week.
