Congrats on the score Bigey.

Unfortunately, as MissATC eluded to, that is probably the shortest wait you will have through this process. Good to know that you did well on one of the few things you have any control over though.

Good luck and welcome to yet another waiting room....

Thanks!

And bring the wait on! I have plenty of stuff i want to get done before going to oklahoma (hopefully) and stuff.

I'll take my line behind all those that wait. Oh, btw, what's for dinner?:D

So I was hanging at my coffee shop this morning, checking my email and looking for asap updates.. sipping on the most DELICIOUS cup of chai/espresso/latte.. whatever it was.. it was amazing. Eating this great peach scone with chocolate chips, when this girl suddenly walks up to me. At first all I see is her tiny little waste and cute bubble butt framed in black pinstripe pants. I look up and I almost choked at the sight of her eyes and the sound of her voice and she bent over and asked me what I was looking at. Right then I clicked on my gmail inbox and saw "At-Sat auth" in the subject line of my latest email. I remained calm.

"Oh, not much," I said with a confident smirk ripping my face in half.

"Just coordinating some test crap with the FAA.. they're interested in having me work for them in the towers."

Needless to say the rest of the conversation went excitingly well and I left the coffee shop with her phone number AND my At-Sat auth...

And then I woke up dry humping the floor...

I wonder at times if this long wait is actually part of the "test" for becoming a controller. "Hey, if they can put up with all this, ATC should be a piece of cake!"

:D

Maybe they're waiting to see who talks the most and goes crazy, losing all composure in the forums since there's little else to do in the real world and they're labeling us "psychological hazards" and are going to inevitably fail us in the psych screening.

I guess we'll know in 3-6 weeks. :whatever:

So I am one of the California types. Took the ATSAT on Tuesday, September 30th. It is now Thursday night, October 2nd. It's 11:03pm Pacific Time and I just checked my ASAP for the heck of it. Here's what it said...

AT-SAT test score information entered:
  • 10/02/2008 03:31:15 PM (Central Time): An AT-SAT score of 70 or above is necessary for passing. Your score was 99.4. Eligible applicants are categorized as "well qualified" or "qualified" based on AT-SAT scores.
BOOYA!!!!!!

If you have anything to say about the at-sat I highly advise you to give us your input in the "reflections and advice on the at-sat" thread.

Hey everybody this is my first post. Just thought I would join the waiting room. My brother is in PUBNAT 2 so I've got an idea as to how long the wait is going to be.

What do you mean by that? A racist joke? Almost funny.

Racist? How do I know what race you are? Is there a race that is good at excel? I haven't met them (I take that back, I did hire an Indonesian once, not because we was an Indonesian but because he was an excel AND access mastermind!

I was talking about the spreadsheet you made months ago that I was looking at that gave me a headache (due to lack of good formatting, not due to vast information).

You remember that one? I can't remember specifically what it was for.

Oh sorry, any simple minded person should have been able to figure it out.
Didn't know I should make it into a more readable format like the facility levels
Sorry that my skills aren't good enough, I don't mess with it too much, just enough to budget things.
Anyways, I'm done with discussion irrelevant things

PSA: I see on here quite a bit that some people have a problem with some friendly ribbing. If you can't take a little tongue and cheek here and there, you're probably going to have a hard time at your facility fitting in if you get upset so easily (speaking more of the larger staffed facilities).

AND you're probably going to be one of those that ties up Union reps/officers with internal Union complaints on your coworkers for things even more moronic than some of the greivances (and that's pretty hard to do).

I can get along with co-workers just fine.
I don't see where I rubbed you the wrong way lol.
I can joke back just as seriously as the next person, too bad you are the one taking it offensively.
