Official PUBNAT2 Referral List

Well...that puts me in a bind. If it is true and the first PEPC is November 17, I am assured that my journey may be over. :( The reason being is that my 31st birthday happens to be November 17th. :banghead: The chances of getting PEPC invite is probably low, getting the PEPC date of Nov. 17th is even lower. So it looks like the game may be over for me...however, if I am selected, I will fight like he.. to get the earliest PEPC date, or go non-PEPC if that may be quicker. But I am an optimist, so I will hang in there till the end.

Hang in there... even if you get a PEPC after your 31st birthday, they may let it slide :)

Yes, Aircraft ID is a BIG thing. I would recommend if you have the time and money, and are close enough to take an aircraft rec class at a college. Since this does not apply to most of you, airliners.net they have tests and hundreds of photos of airplanes.

You don't really need to know what they look like, but rather their performance characteristics for climb/descent performance, how far they'll travel when making a standard-rate turn, cruise speed, approximate ceiling, etc. You only really need to know what category they fall into, as the differences between some aircraft are negligible for ATC purposes. Everything is classified as a small, medium, large or heavy.

Hang in there bud...Things get darkest before the dawn...

C. Although the announcement said if you applied to PUBNAT1 or 2, you're considered for PUBNAT3, the people at Aviation Careers said that was not true and they don't know why the announcement said that.

when I called last month to see why I hadn't received my geog prefs yet I asked about the PUBNAT 3 announcement too and was given this same answer. Sucks for me cause I didn't apply to the 5/30 announcement! I guess that's what I get for following directions. :banghead:

It's ok... I followed directions too

Exactly. That's the only one I missed for that very reason.

Haha, I didn't read the entire statement on PUBNAT3 and applied for it, I figured it said the same exact thing in the PUBNAT2 application. Probably wasn't a week later I realized it said for those of us who applied for PUBNAT2 not to bother. At first I was nervous but then thought, "Well, they'll probably just throw out my application so just apply for the next one." Then read what you guys said about talking to ACD and all of them saying that the PUBNAT2 Need Not Apply notice shouldn't be on there and feeling relieved that I did apply. First time I've ever been happy about not reading directions...

I hope working at an international airport helps, I do know my aircrafts, but I only got a qualified score. I also choose Washington State, and Alaska.

From what I was told by our tower is that I most likely got the job, but I am still kind of worried.

14/20. That will just not fly.

I didn't know many of the obscure international planes. I was fine on the Boeings/Airbuses/MDs...even Cessnas I did okay on, surprisingly.

Shouldn't worry about this now..I'm sure they will give us plenty of material to study. A lot of peeps on here were all worried about the atsat and that turned out to be a joke....So, this aircraft stuff should be easy.

I wanted to inform everyone that I just spoke with a lady in the HR Department in OKC and she told me that PEPC invites may be out in about two weeks because they were waiting for the other panels. She also said that it should tell you on the ASAP if you do or do not get picked for PEPC. She said that they do not send out the emails there, so I am guessing that the people that sent out the referral emails do the emails for PEPC. Just some FYI. But who knows she could be blowing me off?
