Cargo plane down near KLCK

That sucks.

There were only two departures in the time frame that fit the accident and one of them was a 172 so it's probably pretty apparent who it was. IF it was, a few guys I fly with now used to fly for them. I'm sure this will once again prove aviation is a really small world.:(

RIP..... I have a lot of friends at Tahoma.... time to start dialing numbers and hope to hear their voice on the other end.

geez. They JUST lost one in CVG a few years ago. I think 2004 or so. Or am I thinking of someone else?

RIP to the crew

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Federal Aviation Administration says three people were killed when a small plane crashed in a field in central Ohio.
Ohio State Patrol Lt. Tony Bradshaw says the twin-engine aircraft crashed in Pickaway County near the town of Lockbourne after taking off from Rickenbacker Airport around 12 p.m. Monday.
FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory says the plane was headed to Mansfield.
Bradshaw says the aircraft was a 1956 Convair 580 owned by Air Tahoma.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.

How is a convair a small airplane?

What is the deal with Air Tahoma? Are they better, worse, or on par with their peer group?

Sorry for the crews, RIP
