Thinking they will have to restart this whole process

I don't see how this geographic preference URL is even working. For the first 8 hours I couldn't even log in. Finally at about 1:20am ET I was able to finally login using my email address which includes my name in it. On all four attempts a screen loaded with another person's information, but in every case it was the same name. I wanted to see if it loaded a different name each time I attempted to login, but it ended up being a Mr. Maduza (which by the way is no where near my name). I am not even going to fill this thing out until the FAA gets its act together. I am afraid that everyone is going to end up making selections for someone else and no one will get what they want. Maybe the FAA wants another round of 1500 job offers turned down because of location. Otherwise, they may have to redo this entire step in the process. Look's like another temporary delay :banghead: If someone figures this out, please let us know. I will be calling Monday to see what I can accomplish. :panic:

if your going to wait for the FFA to get its act together you going to have to wait a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog time.

true dat :yup:

They may very well have to restart this whole process... and while they are doing that, I'd be emailing a link to these threads to my Senators and Representatives because all the FFA is going to tell Congress is that they have so many eager applicants that it crashed their website.

Hey, Uhhh. Just figured I would let you guys know. If you follow the tips in the other link it will work. Just give it sometime. After getting the wrong info the first two times. Third time was the charm for me. I believe it might just be from the overwhelming hits on the server. So if you want to wait and maybe try it late at night that might work better. But it does work.

Hit enter, at first and let it prompt you for your email, then you get information hopefully yours. If you don't get your info i just simply backed out and tried again. Someone can't make your geographic preferences for you, cause once you get to the screen. It asks for your birthday to confirm identity. Don't fret we all have till may 23rd.

No sarcasm tag on this one... I grew up in the "pre-interweb" era and this question comes to mind:

If you try to enter data via a website and it doesn't work multiple times, then it does work ONCE... does that means it "worked"?

Just askin'.

Oh yeah I tried from 5 pm ET until about 3:30 am ET last night and no difference. I either got the error message or someone else's information. I will keep trying, but unless the information is being received accurately I can't see them not changing this. I would like to just trust the system and assume they got my preferences matched with my profile, but I need proof.

Ok, when you follow the link, the website CLEARLY states "This application is temporarily offline due to technical difficulties. Please visit this site again on Monday, May 5. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes."

So what is everyone's deal? I applied back in May of 2007 and waiting until Monday isn't really that big of a deal. Are y'all seriously getting your American Apparel's in a bind over this... geeeez, just enjoy your weekend! :D

I don't think anyone was in a bind over this, but in a process that lacks communication and information a forum like this is the only way to know if other people are experiencing the same difficulties. By the way, the website is apparently working.

Still getting this at 2200, 05/03-

Yeah when I said it was working it did work for me, but I'm still calling OKC to confirm. With all of the problems with the URL I'm still not sure how the information is actually being collected.
