Mesa watch!

Surreal lives in fantasy land thinking everything he says is truth. Some of your posts dude are just bizarre, you obviously DON'T have anything better to do.

Let's not get into personal attacks. If you've got dissenting opinions, by all means, speak up. The interweb equivalent of "you're a poopy face" doesn't belong here though.

Thank you for your consideration.

I state opinions, when I want to reference facts, I provide sources.

I have yet to state any facts in this thread. I would hope that intelligent people (most of us here) would be able to tell the difference between an opinion and facts.

From an observers point of view.
I have met a few Mesa pilots. Each are incredibly kind and love their job. I hear more inner company bashing among Southwest pilots than I do Mesa pilots. It sucks they may have more challenges then some of the other pilot groups, however they are just as equal and deserve to be treated just as fair. The pilots didn't cheat their way through the industry, management did. I hope everything works at well for them.

Though my own airline would stand to gain a great deal in the face of a MAG failure. I surely don't want to enjoy those benefits on the backs of the hundreds of lost jobs.

One thing is certain, it will get very interesting in regional circles if MAG tanks.

This statement truly shows your character. Don't hate the player, hate the game! And who, pray tell, decides which regionals "deserve" any particular route? Certainly not you.

Every time I've heard someone actually say that it was because they knew they were doing something wrong and wanted to pass the buck to someone else.

Not saying that's what you're doing, but whenever someone says that, it's the first thing to come to mind. At best, that statement is a cop out IMO.

Regardless, I know there are a lot of people out there who don't have any grudge against Mesa employees but wouldn't be too upset if the company folded tomorrow.

Using your phrase there... they don't hate the "players," they hate the "game." And they feel that Mesa dissapearing would be one step towards changing the game for the better.

That's two different things there. I could care less if the pilots of a certain park ranger airline found other flying jobs. But I hope that the pilots and other employees of Mesa find better jobs if Mesa really does tank.

I believe that most everyone (if not everyone) here feels towards the latter. They might not care for, or outright hate, Mesa... but that doesn't mean they have any ill will towards their pilots.

Bull**** man...Really...you're brand spanking new to the industry. Yet you certainly do a lot of talking. Do I dislike Mesa for what they are helping to do to the industry? Absolutely. But I'd much rather see them get it sorted out and keep thousands of people employed rather than have them go out of business. You're saying that wasn't the purpose of the thread, but we all know you're <edited>. I'm a strong believer of those who speak the most, know the least, and I believe this is just another case of that.

Some of you guys really need to calm down. I think it's pretty obvious that Surreal had no intent to gloat about Mesa having problems. Everyone should re-read that initial post and think again about your initial impressions. Everyone is so spring-loaded to think that any post about MAG will be negative that they don't bother to really pay attention to what the poster is saying.

And this is coming from one of the biggest defenders of the MAG pilots that you'll find.

WOW!
These people work for the wages offered to them. If they don't like it, they leave. Last I checked, it's still well obove federal minimum wage. If they were to offer us a raise, I'd gladly accept it, but until then, I do my job.

Please elaborate. This has no basis.

Once again, please elaborate. We have better A14's, lower MBR's, better OTD's and in the past few years, our customer satisfaction has actually gone up, whereas most majors keeps going down. We do this all for a better monetary value than mainline or another regional can do for themselves.
As for not treating people like people, you have no basis for that. People are explained the wages before they sign any paperwork. We are given attendance bonuses, they have drawings sports tickets 1 to 2 times a month (free). They occasionally throw catered BBQ's for no reason.
Last year they gave away a Scion xB.
Three months ago, we had a staion meeting and had they gave away lots of cool prizes. One guy won an all expence paid trip to Israel, and it came with 2 weeks free paid vacation; the guy who won was a gate agent working for the company 5 days. And I don't know about where you work, but in my airport, Mesa has the most comprehensive flight benefits package offered, period. I fly free or ID90 on airlines other guys dream of.

Routes are earned. Airlines bid, one regional does it better for less, if they deliver what they promised, their contract gets renewed. And the cycle goes on. Mesa rightfully deserves all it's current routes. If your regional can do it better for less, then it they would be doing it. Last time I checked, Mainline didn't just give us extra money for the hell of it. Yet no one complains at the Mainline Carrier for going with the lowest bid.

This was a joke, right? I mean, seriously?

I don't wish the pilots at Mesa to lose their jobs by folding of the airline but I do wish the management would take a 180 degree turn from the current direction they are leading the company and the employees. I think Mesa has become a terrible place to work at but there is no doubt that it can be turned around. It's just a matter of a change in management.

Goodness me...I'm glad someone gets it!

Low stock prices are not that big a deal in terms of operational viability - the price of a stock is only one factor indicating a company's health relative to other companies in the same market.

Investors only take a loss if they sell the stock at a low price, remember. It just means that people aren't willing to pay a lot for the stock right now. That's about it.
:yeahthat:

You for real?

If I had a spare $50, I woulda thought about it. Just think, if it make it to $1 a share.....you just doubled your money! If it hits $2 a share, damn!

When the stock price is that low, it's either that or just hit the blackjack table.

I dont really know anything about trading in the stock market other than my little hobby of virtualstockexhange.com but what are some places you can trade through?

Yea, and if you sell it within 365 days the government taxes it to hell, almost 50% or some crap. I learned the hard way when I bought Sirius stock at something like $4 and then sold it for $9 in a short period. The IRS sent me a nice little bill :(
