Does anyone having any information on flight benefits for Air Wisconsin Airlines? Especially on how long it takes you to become eligible.

The Cheeseheads have USAirways benefits, which actually are the best out there. You become eligible as soon as you are put into the system.

Im quickly learning this. American Eagle waits for either a year or 2 years before you can even get buddy passes! Unless the HR lady mis-spoke.

US Airways had a pretty sweet system. Registered guest was a great perk too.

You get your flight benifits 2 weeks into training once you pass your indoc tests. It's really nice and you get the 8 buddy passes and preferred guest etc at the same time....

They are nice until you are bumped by A) someone senior at mainline, B)someone senior at a wholly owned C)company business and or D) you actually get on a packed flight.... Travel bennies really arent all they are cracked up to be. I actually much rather still pay then hassel with that crap...... You'll see and learn why soon!

HAHA...true. But when I had "bennies" a year ago, I still loved it despite the hassle. But I suspect nowadays it is kind of worthless with the amount of seats.

But 2 weeks and preferred guess sounds good (preferred guess being a pass for someone in substitution of a spouse?). I was just making sure it didn't take a month or 3 cause I'll be working ramp for air whisky only like 4 months over the summer. Was gonna work UAL until they stopped hiring full time.

Oh btw, UAL contracts their hiring now to Spherion which is a horrible company. At least I had a horrible experience a month ago. I went into dc (which is awful alone) for an interview last month and after waiting for an hour for the interview, I was told I had to reschedule. When asked why, the guy told me in the most rude manner that he didn't need to tell me and if I had a problem with it, not to come back. :banghead: I finally got it out of him that it was too early to hire me for my start date and because it was too late in the day to be able to get finger printed and drug tested. Regardless, I was furious and called United who seemed very upset themselves and assured me that this would be reported to the "appropriate places" and "proper actions would be taken."

Ummm.... Helloo? No one has mentioned you get to fly out of the world famous PHL. The only airport I know that has no traffic delays, and you are practically NEVER put into a hold! Geez!

do I really need the tag?:D:laff:

Is that a US Airways station that you're going to be working out of? If not, you'll have different benefits. AWAC does ground handling for UAL and NWA as well, so you would most likely get whatever their benefit packages offer.

Been flying out of PHL for 8 months now, and can count on one hand the number of times that I've been put into a hold. Maybe I'm just lucky, but all this talk of Philly being such a disaster seems like a myth to me. Now...the rampers on the other hand....that a WHOLE 'nother story! ;)

No need for a tag..... Just last night, "oh can you accept runway 8 to get you out faster" me and the captain throw it in real fast and think sweet we'll get out.... haha taxi out "oh well the controller should have told you we are only taking off 8 when 17 is landing, 9 would have been quicker!" 29 Planes later (would have only been around 17 for 9) we take off! God bless Philly! Its always fun to actually rotate too when you only have 1000' of runway left!

AWAC is taking over DGS for the UAX handling.

I work there... we get usairways benefits. That's it.

Hmm.. Strange. But cool. As I said above, US Airways benefits are better than UAL. UAL flys to better places, but registered guest and buddy passes on US are instant. At Colgan we didnt get any buddy passes on UAL and no registered guest, you have to be married.
