From Wikipedia:
United 232's Senior Flight Attendant. She was forced by regulation to ask parents with "lap babies" (children without seats) aboard flight 232 to place their children on the cabin floor during the flight's final moments before impact. Upon impact one of four children was killed. The deceased child's mother came to her at the crash site and stated "You told me to put my baby on the floor and now he's gone." Since then, Lohr has tirelessly lobbied in Washington D.C. to promote the safety of children on all civilian aircraft and airlines, asking that federal regulations require all children to have a seatbelt on every flight.
WhenI was still in the Navy Reserve Jan Brown Lohr, the Senior Flight Attendant on board, came to talk to us about that day.
I'll never forget the haunted look on her face as she described the "baby-on-the-floor" incident. All because she was doing what she was trained to do...
(Kinda like the crews on 9/11 who were doing what their training told them to do...)

What are you guys trying to do? JC used to be a nice little website. You get Capt Haynes and you'll be on par with the AOPA convention...
Congratz on going big time.
Trying to merge "Top Gun", "Airplane", "The Right Stuff" and "Old School" in one delicious stew!

HEY!!!! I RESEMBLE THAT REMARK.![]()
Sadly, rubber dog shizzle will pay what it costs to be transported from point-a to point-b whereas the average "joe" wants an act of congress to keep airfares artificially low! DOH!
riiiight...because if we pay the cheapest price, the government will assure our safety, right? RIGHT?![]()
