Other ATC Forums?

There seem to a lot of us in the same boat, playing the waiting game. I was wondering if anyone has come across any other message boards that could provide us with additional ATC info. The Vets on this board have been great in providing information but some of us don't even know what questions we should be asking.

Here are some that I have found...

http://forums.atcmonitor.com/ - only 4 posts today and 10 so far this month

http://www.stuckmic.com/ - some good info but the boards are an unorganized mess

www.ATCCTI.com - I have registered for this site 3 times and my account has still not been activated so I have no info

Well with the spike in ATC registrants we've had in the last two months (at least 30% of daily registrations), we're pretty much it I think!

Glad to have ya!

Thank you for giving us a place to seek information and vent about the process. This is an awesome place filled with some great people.

I registered at stuckmic.com. You are right, it is extremely unorganized.

I really appreciate the user friendliness of this website.

With the actual controllers who post on Jet Careers, I find it to be the most entertaining and informative.
I appreciate the actual controllers posting what they think and know about us newbies, the hiring/training process and air traffic control.
Thanks to the organizers of JC too!

Here's the question. With a growing number of controllers registering for the forums, what types of things that are controller-specific can we offer to create a better experience for you guys?

Oh, any of you guys working JFK or BOS center? I generally work with JFK and BOS a lot flying towards the NATS.

To the OP, I signed up for ATCCTI twice. They never send out an e-mail saying you were approved or not. I just happened to try logging in the second time and it worked.
This is by far the best site though. I signed up for all the others, but only check this one consistantly.

I can not say how valuable atccti.com is to everyone going through the process now, be it CTI, OTS, or VRA.

If you're having trouble getting a confirmation or you can not log in, a quick e-mail to the webmaster should take care of it.

Can't really think of anything controller specific, I think just having the forum is good for everyone, I wish there was a place like this when I was starting out so I could ask questions and such....

Thanks Doug!

I'll throw in my two cents...

I'm also a member at ATCCTI, and while there are still some useful posts over there, they are seldom. Much of the conversations seem end withn a debate between CTI and OTS applicants. You can find much more useful posts in older posts.

I find jetcareers the best resource right now, as there are multiple other aviation forums. This allows people from different aviation background to visit, learn, and contribute.

Besides, as Doug said, the list of current, retired controllers and applicants seems to grow daily. In a year, the couple of ATC forums here will be a huge resource!

:)

Maybe we need some sort of sticky FAQ thread? I notice more and more people coming here and starting a new thread right away asking questions that have been answered thousands of times. Maybe this is just my pet peeve though?
