Expressjet offering COLAs (voluntary furloughs) to pilots...

Re: Expressjet offering COLAs (voluntary furloughs) to pilot

Yes, the point is getting 35 people on board...consistently on all routes, not one or two. Thats a 70% load factor across the whole operation. You guys going to be able to attain that with fuel prices rising everyday and not raising ticket prices? Kool Aide is all I gotz to say...

We have routes that perform 90+% daily. I suggest you read our T-100's for more information. As for Kool-Aide Mr. I fly for Southernjets Connection, you're the biggest know it all, grape Kool-Aide drinker I've ever encountered.

Thanks PCL, don't worry about Merit though. Everytime he gets offended he throws personal attacks at me like im gunna lose sleep over it. Guess thats his way of raising his self-esteem. Many saw him attack DE727 for saying he makes 300k and looked like a fool.

As for losing my cool with you? Hardly.. You've been talked about more than anyone on this board for being a [whatever]. As for Donny making 300K a year?

Click here to see how he became a UPS pilot.

I hope branded makes it. I was just talkin' with a Skywest F/O who sort of had a thing against Xjet. I told him three times how much better branded is than Southwest. You got your XM radio, you got your leather seats, you got your planeside bags, you got your $1 beers, and you got a young, eager, workforce that really tries hard with customer service.

That's all been my personal experience as both a rev and a non-rev.

God I would do anything to be in the same cockpit with some of you.

Sign me up...:sarcasm:

"As for Donny making 300K a year?"

I object. Only Chris Ford can call me Donny.

You can call me Donald, but it pisses me off.....

Planes are probably safer than southwest too :laff::crazy:

As long as they use the auto-throttles . . . it's just not safe if you don't use the auto-throttles.

Re: Expressjet offering COLAs (voluntary furloughs) to pilot

Not after me and Seggy get done. Merit can have the scraps. :)

On Mesaba doing COLAs....that's news to me. I know they've had to delay getting -200s for a while b/c of staffing issues. Seems kinda silly to do COLAs when you're having trouble staffing planes.

Mesaba is offering COLA's its posted on there crew room door in DTW... I found it hard to believe to, I had to stop and read it twice. Its something like 15 Capts 10 FO's and 15 F/A's. I guess they are going to lose some saab cities out of DTW due to load factor and wgt rest... CRW is going RJ's and I hear that CHO will be next, but there must be more to that story.

Re: Expressjet offering COLAs (voluntary furloughs) to pilot

Off topic here, but I wonder if one can buy an ZED fare on that all business class flight.

Something to ponder....
Not that i know of... ZED fares are coach only.

Re: Expressjet offering COLAs (voluntary furloughs) to pilot

Actually with the USAirways benefits we can buy Business Class ZED fares on Lufthansa and Swiss.

I am wondering that if a flight is sold as only one class, if we are eligible to buy IDs/ZED fares for that flight.

Guess I didn't think about the Saab side of things, so that makes sense. I think we're actually starting the CRW flying, aren't we? I haven't seen much of DTW in the past few weeks, and I'll see even less of it for a couple of months. Come June/July, I'll probably see a lot of it. Have to start answering the phone with "Okay, what time does my DH to DTW leave?"

Re: Expressjet offering COLAs (voluntary furloughs) to pilot

There's no cat, there's no bag. My internet has just been beyond crappy for the last few days. It's getting fixed this afternoon, I'll be back in full swing tonight. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Yeah, bubble popped.

My comment was directed towards more the fact that you have been called out for using the whole "over there" reference, when in reality, you are at XJT.

So, an "over here" reference would have been more appropriate.

Unless you've left the company?

Here is something you may not have thought of.

Some people like to never name their employer on the internet, for various reasons. People with usernames such as yours do not give their name away unless they specifically post it somewhere. Others such as the webmaster and the poster who started this thread use their real name, so it may be advantageous to not divulge quite so much information sometimes. Hence the whole "SouthernJets" knickname.

I intend not to sound rude here, but if someone online repeatedly does not answer the question of where they work, no matter how obvious they might let it be through what they post, maybe you ought to just let it go.
