Trans States newest FO

Well, since I've been the inadvertant recipeint of some of your congratulations, I'll redirect them back to you and add one of my own. Meyer9163 says congrats and so do I :bandit: You can stop trying to turn lead into gold now that you're getting paid to "waterski" :)

Congrats! I know that TSA just picked up 2 of my friends from here. They got into one of the March classes though.
 
Congrats! I've been lurking around this site for a while and figure this is a good time for a first post. I was hired for the Feb 4th class and will be starting systems at the end of the week as long as I pass another test on Thursday. My advice is to know your memory items and limitations verbatim. Don't memorize any of the EP numbers, just the LR. You'll get a differences card later so that you don't have to memorize all that. You don't need to know all the little notes in your limitations word for word, but understand them and know them fairly well. Do all that and you'll be where you need to be. I assume they gave you the DVD's too. They're awfully boring, but I'd watch them a few times and try to start understanding what they're doing. Knowing your profiles and flows really well will be extremely helpful once you get to the sim. Other than that, do your best and enjoy it. With any luck we'll both be on the line within a few months. For now I'm keeping my current job and trying hard to memorize all the aircraft limitations and memory items. Plus Trans States gave me 2 DVDs to watch about the emb-145 so I'm keeping busy.

PS You are with DWAS right? I might be your replacement if he picks me over the "other guy"... you stationed with anybody there? Just wondering how bored I may be...(disregard if I'm an idiot and have the worng guy) Congrats again!

I hope you get the job. Right now we need 2 pilots and I'm hoping DWAS can find them sooner than later so I can take care of some things before going to the school house.

If you are my replacement you will probably be flying N914Z (man I love that plane...you better take good care of her or you gonna have to deal with me :)) out of KFUL. You won't be bored...this is Orange County, plenty of stuff to do around here plus there are other 5 guys flying out of the same airport.

Well, sorry to say that you will not be kicking my butt for messing up your plane. He went with the other guy, said it was a toss up, coin just didnt fall my way. He said he'd call if he loses someone else though, so I guess we'll see.

The search continues for now :o... Thanks for the info.
 
Congrats on the Job! Did you get hired this month? I had my interview on the 12th and I'll be starting march 3rd...When is your start date?
