best ways to write clearances?

i teach TCRAFT to my students. but i don't ever write anything down. unless it is unusual missed approach instructions

"As Filed"?! Are you kidding me? Seems lately that ATC refuses to give me anything "as filed". The other night, I got a full-route clearance from FFZ-to ELP that had only ONE difference on the departure from what I had filed, and they might as well have given it to me "as filed", as the vector was straight to the fix I'd filed for. :banghead:

Well, if you file it the way their system wants then you won't have to worry about that:)

:yeahthat:

It's a very rare thing for me to hear anything but "as filed."

the method that I have used:

Cleared to
Route
Altitude
Frequency
Transponder

KFCM RV 3 125.0 1234

cleared to the flying cloud airport, via radar vectors, altitude is 3000, contact departure on 125.0, squawk 1234

Exactly what I use and was tought... My usual route is pretty easy if I'm with IFR training students just practicing approaches...unless were actually going somewhere for there dual x-country trips.

C- cleared to the xxxxx airport
R - via radar vectors
A - climb and maintain 3000 expect 5000 10 minutes after departure
F - Departure Freq. 133.5
T - Squawk XXXX
