*trying really, really, really hard to not bring out the grammar stick....*
Assuming they don't screw it up.You're going to be proven wrong in 23 minutes.
No, the engine does not move the airplane across the ground, it moves it through the air.
Must resist....ok I can't.
How do you explain an airboat? The fan on that doesn't interact with the water...or is it just a seaplane without wings?
If it had wings it would fly, otherwise it's just a boat.
Take the wings off an airplane, and it's just a strange-looking car.
. . . hahaha noThat would just be adding insult to injury. Obviously the person carrying the Idiot Stick already dished out a beating or two.![]()

Myth Busted. You folks who voted no, need to go back and review simple physics and aerodynamics. I really hope there were no licensed pilots who voted no.![]()
Simple question:
Treadmill is moving backwards at 60kts
Airplane accelerates from -60kts (relative to stationary ground) to 0kts (relative to stationary ground), how fast is the air moving over the wings?
0kts seems right to me.
