A certain air carrier (well known for treating employees well) walked around yesterday afternoon to folk's desks to collect badges and company property. Just shy of 100 people laid off just like that.

Everybody in this world needs a backup plan, not just pilots. Pilots are usually smart people, they'll land on their feet.

Yeah, I heard this from another friend over there. Best I can tell nobody who got the boot were pilots, but they dumped a whole lot of admin staff.

You are correct. No frontline employees right now, but they hit the support staff pretty hard.
