Quasimoto Pilots

Mmm...donut!

The jet time is a measure of airline experience. I find it laughable that an RJ newhire has the guts to come here and rag on anyone.

Rather, some F/Os need to shut their mouths and open their eyes/ears so they can learn from the more experienced. It might actually save their lives some day.

Righto, 'cause you create an atmosphere where somebody would WANT to listen to you, instead of being forced to listen to you eh?

This ain't the Air Force there buddy, and I don't have to listen to you simply because you out rank me.

Hey, he can have an opinion. Its the credibility of that opinion that is in question. Now, if he wants to talk Utah skiing, I'll defer to his experience.

I wouldn't, I'm a horrible skier and I've only lived here since August. I know a lot more about CRM, raw data approaches, Socrates and how to dress professionally than I do skiing.

You'd need to talk with my fiance about that one.

And that's exactly the attitude that will get you a chat with Professional Standards at best and a visit to the Chief Pilot at worst. You really need to check that ego at the main cabin door.

BTW, the day you were born, I was out in the Indian Ocean VertRepping the Ranger Battle Group.

Possibly, just possibly, you might want to defer once in a while to experience, slick.

Mmmm...donuts! And who said you didn't? Still on probation?

Well your insinuation that I didn't know ANYTHING since I didn't have 500 hours in type had something to do with it. I would imagine that my 9 months in the training department of an air carrier, where I wore a uniform to work every day (with four stripes no doubt!) probably didn't qualify me to talk about uniforms, let alone airplanes!

Righto chief.

The captains at my company have fostered an environment of learning for the most part, not of blind acceptance and obedience. It's the new school of leadership, you might wanna check it out sometime. Remember I'm a human, not a dog.

I never said you didn't know anything. I said your experience level calls the credibilty of you opinions on the airline business into question. Two different things.

Your knee-jerk emotional reactions to just about everything also speaks volumes.

I think I'm finished with this thread.

Knee jerk emotional reactions? Chief I think you're reading into this thread a wee bit too much.

Let me know when you wanna hang out, there's a great Dunkin' Donuts in Newark.

BobDDuck, I'm pretty sure you're speaking of your airline, and not things said at this website, unlike Velo.

Yeah.

And John... if Velo won't take you up on the Donut thing, I'm all over it. Hell, I'll even bust out my hat if I have to.

Velocipede, what did you fly in the Navy? I think my Dad was in the Indian Ocean at the same time on the Constellation.

Wow, awful lot of high horses around here. Get on someone's case for blatently ignoring regs, bad dugie, but the fashion police are out in full force around here. I guess appearances count for much more than BEING a proffessional.

For the record, my pants are pressed, shirst ironed shoes kept in best possible shape, but I do have a burger king gut, guess that makes me a crappy pilot....

I was hoping you weren't wearing pants...

(I figured it fit with the thread)

Ah, yes, the predictable responses from those who carry backpacks: "Hey, I carry a backpack. I only use my iPod when I'm sitting around the terminal. Hats are optional. I look professional."

No you don't.

First of all.... I pity anyone who has to put up with you for a four day trip. You sound like you have a severe case of captainitus. Disregarding what an FO says... or saying "FO SIT DOWN, GET OUT YOUR NOTEBOOK, AND WATCH THE MASTER" is one of the most retarted things I've ever heard. We've had FO's at my company with a lot of PIC time in the CRJ from Indy Air..sitting in the right seat with some CA with 200 hrs PIC in the airplane. Sometimes an FO's input has merit.... usually not mine... but there are some smart ones out there..... :)

Lastly... like I said in a previous post... if you have such a problem with the way people look, act, dress, talk, smile, eat, sleep, do their hair, posture, etc....then HAVE THE BALLS TO SAY SOMETHING TO THEM!!!! Pissing and moaning on jetcareers doesn't do anything....especially when you are doing it to people on a personal level.

Go starch your shirts and iron your underwear.
