Could anyone list some companies that I can get a hold of about patrol type jobs for a low time pilot like myself? I am interested in traffic patrol, pipeline patrol, and other jobs of the sort.

Thanks

Know of any companies in GA?

Go up the aiport to Echo Ct (FFC). There is a company up there, 3001. They do aerial survey work in 401/402's. I think they want around 1500 total, BUT I know they have hired a couple of guys with less time than that. It is in your backyard, why not try it!

Knew it. . .someone was mentioning a company around these parts. Just didn't know where the heck it is.

Thanks DC3.

I work for 3001 Inc. If you're interested or have any questions just ask.

I post job listings here every now and then when we're looking for people. I don't think we're looking for anyone right now but I'll provide contacts. I believe our chief pilot is a jetcareers member as well. I know he's either here or at Flightinfo.

:rolleyes:Iam curious are these jobs usually in the west and east coasts or are they every where? Inland. I would imagine lots are in alaska. Are there any law enforcement agencies that hire pilots off the street? or do you have to be an officer first?

I've met some pilots flying pipeline out in West Texas. Various companies pay better than others.
Those I know in Police aviation have to be patrol for a year or two to be considered for flight duty.

One thing to keep in mind, a lot of the survey and pipeline jobs do not require you to live where the company is located. The companies often have jobs all over the country (and sometimes other countries). Inquire about the opportunities, and see what they have to say.

True true... I live in Raleigh and 3001 is based south of Atlanta. They just airline me to the job site, I work my rotation and then the airline me back home. Lots of survey jobs are like that. It's one of the things that makes them attractive.
