Student Nausea problems

Over the years I have had students that get sick to their stomachs from time to time. Some where able to get over it and some where not. I have a guy that I have flown with twice and both times he has ended up sick. Both times actually calm conditions. I feel really bad for him because he really wants to fly but can't handle. Is there apporved meds for pilots or techniques. I have refered him to a couple people and told him about staring at the horizon. Suggestions?

I found a slice of bread, a banana, and some water helped. On really hot days, I also wore the Seasickness bands. Sometimes just tightening his watch might help.

Have you recommended/tried Ginger yet?

Yeah, ginger, and not her, but the real ginger. I use it all the time in the Sim. I get terrible motion sickness. I have to have the instructors tell me when they are going to slew the thing so I can look away.

I agree with the responses so far. Just continuing to fly ( use slow climns, descents and standard rate turns) and he will probably adapt. This is especially true if he has his hands on the controls and has something to concentrate on.
